Jesus Fined for Al-Hilal Comments, Alleging "External Force" Influence
The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced on Sunday that a financial fine has been imposed on Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus of Al-Nassr, following a complaint filed against him by Al-Hilal club.
This decision stems from an official complaint lodged by Al-Hilal's management against the coach regarding media statements he made previously.
According to the official communiqué, Jesus has been fined 50,000 Saudi Riyals. The report clarified that Al-Hilal filed the complaint following statements Jesus made prior to a match between Al-Nassr and Al-Shabab, during which he alleged that Al-Hilal possessed an "external power" that served its interests.
Al-Hilal club had previously stated in an official release that these remarks were irresponsible and contained baseless accusations that do not align with the significant sporting boom currently being witnessed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
