Mahdi Jabri, coach of Ittihad Yaacoub El Mansour, expressed his frustration with the malfunction of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology during the first half of his team's 3-1 defeat to Fath Union Sport (FUS Rabat) in matchday 15 of the professional league.

During the post-match press conference, Jabri stated, "Normally, I prefer to only discuss football and technical aspects. However, it's illogical to play the first half without VAR and then have it available in the second. Where is the equality of opportunity?"

He continued, "Fath Union Sport benefited from VAR in the second half, whereas we had incidents in the first half where, if VAR had been available, we could have benefited. Therefore, if we are going to play one half without VAR, it would be better to play the entire match without it, because this situation is simply illogical."

Fath Union Sport currently sits in ninth place with 15 points, while Ittihad Yaacoub El Mansour remains in 15th position, second from bottom, with 7 points.

What was Coach Jabri's main complaint after the FUS Rabat match?

Coach Jabri's main complaint centered on the VAR system's malfunction during the first half of his team's match against FUS Rabat. He argued that having VAR only in the second half created an unfair playing field, questioning the equality of opportunity.

How did the VAR situation impact Ittihad Yaacoub El Mansour's performance?

The VAR situation potentially impacted Ittihad Yaacoub El Mansour by denying them potential benefits from incidents in the first half. Jabri suggested that if VAR had been available throughout, his team might have received favorable decisions, influencing the game's outcome.

What did Coach Jabri suggest as a solution for inconsistent VAR availability?

Coach Jabri suggested that if VAR cannot be consistently available for an entire match, it would be better to play the entire game without it. He emphasized that intermittent VAR usage is illogical and undermines the principle of fair play in professional league matches.
