The encounter witnessed clear dominance from the home side, with Luis Diaz opening the scoring in the 33rd minute. Just before halftime, Konrad Laimer doubled the lead with a second goal in the 45+1 minute. The visitors' situation worsened at the start of the second half when Rocco Reitz was sent off in the 55th minute, allowing Jamal Musiala to convert a penalty two minutes later for the third goal. Nicolas Jackson sealed his team's scoring with the fourth goal in the 79th minute.
Wael Muhaya pulled one back for Monchengladbach, scoring their sole goal in the 89th minute of the match. With this win, Bayern Munich increased their points tally to 66, maintaining their first-place position with a 14-point lead over their closest competitor. Monchengladbach, meanwhile, remained in 12th place with 25 points.
