Al-Nassr Confirms Ronaldo Muscle Injury, Denies Travel to Madrid Amid Regional Situation
Saudi club Al-Nassr announced on Tuesday the health status of its captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, confirming he sustained a muscle injury during the recent 3-1 victory over Al-Fayha, a match from which he exited in the 81st minute.
The club clarified that the player will undergo a specialized rehabilitation program, which will include continuous evaluation to monitor his recovery before he rejoins team training.
Ronaldo continues to leave his mark on the Roshn Saudi League, having scored 21 goals in 22 matches to date. His contributions have helped Al-Nassr secure the top spot with 61 points, two points clear of second-placed Al-Ahli.
Al-Nassr's announcement also serves to refute media reports suggesting that the Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, had departed Saudi Arabia for the Spanish capital, Madrid, due to the current situation in the Middle East.
