
Ronaldo Acquires 25% Stake in Spanish Club Almeria
Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has officially entered the world of sports investment, acquiring a 25 percent stake in Spanish Second Division club Almeria.
This move was made through "CR7 Sports Investments," a new subsidiary of "CR7 SA," the company through which Ronaldo manages his various businesses and investments.
Almeria currently sits third in the Spanish Second Division standings, positioning them among the top clubs vying for promotion.
In an official statement, Ronaldo affirmed that his ambition has always been "to contribute to the development of football off the pitch." He added that Almeria "possesses a solid foundation and great potential for growth," expressing his desire "to work alongside the club's management to support it in a new phase of development."
For his part, club president Mohamed El Assy expressed his delight at the Portuguese star's entry into the shareholder structure. He affirmed that Ronaldo's "vast experience and deep knowledge of Spanish football will constitute a qualitative addition to the club, both at the first-team level and in youth development."
