Flick on Facing Newcastle Instead of PSG in Champions League: "I Don't Celebrate Not Facing the Parisian Club"
Hansi Flick, head coach of Barcelona, discussed his team's upcoming UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against Newcastle United, rather than Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking at the press conference ahead of Barcelona's match against Villarreal, Flick was asked about the prospect of coaching 100 more games for the club. He responded, "Why not? I enjoy the city, the team, and the club. It's a great honor for me to coach Barcelona, and the players are doing a great job."
Regarding his thoughts on the Champions League draw, Flick clarified, "All matches are important. I don't celebrate not facing Paris Saint-Germain; the opponent must be respected. Everyone wants to reach the final, and Newcastle also has the desire to win the Champions League."
Barcelona is set to visit Villarreal tomorrow, Saturday, in a La Liga fixture as part of Week 26 of the Spanish League. The match is scheduled for 15:15 GMT.
