Paris FC Appoints Antoine Kombouaré as New Coach Following Gilli's Dismissal
French club Paris FC announced on Sunday the appointment of Antoine Kombouaré as the team's new coach. This decision follows the dismissal of Stéphane Gilli, who had been in charge since 2023.
Anthony Arnault, owner of Paris FC, noted that Kombouaré's background and extensive experience in the French league would be invaluable assets for the club, which currently sits 15th in the standings with 11 rounds remaining in the season. Arnault stated, “We are delighted to welcome Antoine Kombouaré to the club, and his solid background and experience in the French league will be invaluable assets.”
Kombouaré boasts a distinguished coaching record, including spells at Paris Saint-Germain, Lens, and Nantes. Four years ago, the coach successfully saved Nantes from relegation and also won the French Cup in the same season.
