De Zerbi Explains Aguerd's Absence from "Le Classique" Against PSG
Olympique Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi has revealed the reason behind Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd's absence from his team's squad during "Le Classique" against Paris Saint-Germain last Sunday in the French League.
In press statements, De Zerbi explained that Aguerd's absence was due to illness. He stated, "This evening, Aguerd could not play because he is sick." The Italian coach added, "I often rely on the same players, but it always depends on their physical condition. Usually, there are 7 or 8 players who participate regularly, especially since we play a match every three days."
Nayef Aguerd had previously missed the French Cup Round of 16 match against Stade Rennais due to an adductor muscle injury. Despite being included in Olympique Marseille's squad for "Le Classique" against Paris Saint-Germain, he ultimately did not feature in the game.
