
Senegalese Federation Confirms Monitoring Detained Fans' Case, Coordinating with Morocco for Positive Resolution
The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has issued an official statement providing an update on the situation of its national team supporters detained in Morocco. The detentions followed several infractions committed during the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 final between Morocco and the "Lions of Teranga."
In its statement, the FSF clarified that it is closely monitoring the situation of the Senegalese fans currently held in the Kingdom of Morocco, emphasizing that Senegalese authorities are fully mobilized at the highest level to address this matter.
The statement added that these efforts are being conducted in close coordination with the competent Moroccan authorities, within the framework of mutual respect for the fraternal and historical relations between the two countries.
The Federation also stressed that, under the supervision of the Senegalese Ambassador to Morocco, all necessary measures are being taken to ensure suitable detention conditions for its citizens, respect their fundamental rights, and provide them with appropriate legal assistance.
