Renard: "I Should Never Have Left Morocco National Team; My Contract Was Until 2022 But I Left in 2019, That Was a Mistake"
French coach Hervé Renard admitted he regrets leaving the Moroccan national team in 2019, stating that his decision at the time could be considered one of the most significant mistakes in his coaching career.
In an interview with "Colin Interview" on YouTube, the Frenchman said: "Was it the worst ending to my career? I will answer differently. I should never have left the Moroccan national team."
He added: "I had a contract with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation until 2022, but I left in 2019. My answer reveals everything, and I won't say more."
He concluded by explaining: "I shouldn't have left, but this is part of the mistakes we make in our professional lives, and when we look at what followed, we confirm it was a mistake."
