Marca: Flick Considers Resigning from Barcelona if Laporta Loses Election
Press reports indicate that German coach Hansi Flick is considering resigning from his position at Barcelona in the near future, citing the club's presidential elections as a reason.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Flick is contemplating stepping down from his role at the Catalan club at the end of the season should a candidate other than Joan Laporta win the upcoming elections.
The Spanish publication also reported that Flick intends to renew his contract with Barcelona if Laporta is re-elected as president of the Catalan club.
The club's elections are scheduled for the near future, with current president Joan Laporta and his main rival, Victor Font, competing for the top position.
Flick took over as Barcelona coach in 2024 and is currently under contract until 2027.
