Barcelona Officially Proposes Camp Nou to Host 2029 Champions League Final
FC Barcelona, in partnership with the City Council and the Government of Catalonia, has officially announced its entry into the bidding process to host the 2029 UEFA Champions League final. The proposal suggests Barcelona as the host city, with Spotify Camp Nou serving as the venue for the final match, pending accreditation requirements and official approvals from UEFA, supported by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
This initiative marks an initial phase dedicated to study and evaluation. The involved parties have begun submitting the essential documents and requirements to accelerate the nomination process, enabling UEFA to examine the bid's readiness and ensure its compliance with established standards and protocols.
The final official bid, accompanied by all detailed documentation required for the city's accreditation as the final host, is expected to be submitted at a later date. These procedures are anticipated to be completed by early June 2026.
