Al Ahly Explains Belamri's Absence from Tomorrow's Squad Due to Physical Readiness
Egyptian club Al Ahly has issued an official statement explaining the reason for excluding its Moroccan player, Youssef Belamri, from the squad called up to face Bank Al Ahly tomorrow, Tuesday. The match is part of the 17th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
In its statement, the Egyptian club confirmed that "Belamri's absence from Al Ahly's squad is due to his need for physical readiness, especially since he has not participated in official matches for a long time."
Al Ahly further stated in its release: "Head coach Jess Thorup was keen to meet with the player and explain his technical viewpoint and the necessity for both physical and technical readiness, in preparation for participating in matches during the upcoming period."
It is worth noting that Al Ahly announced the signing of Youssef Belamri last month, who joined from Raja Casablanca in a deal reportedly valued at 500 million centimes.
