The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has officially announced its acceptance of the Disciplinary Committee's decision from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), issued on January 28, 2026. The decision concerns the sporting and financial sanctions imposed on the FSF following incidents during the Africa Cup final against Morocco, with the federation confirming it will not appeal the ruling.

In a statement released today, Saturday, the FSF clarified that after reviewing the details of Decision No. DC23315, it has decided to forgo appealing the sanctions, both those pertaining to the governing body of Senegalese football and those related to individual disciplinary actions.

The sanctions include coach Pape Bouna Thiaw, along with national team players Ismaila Sarr and Iliman Ndiaye. The federation affirmed its full acceptance of the decision's consequences, in accordance with Article 91.4 of CAF's Disciplinary Code.

In the same context, the Senegalese football body emphasized its commitment to bearing the financial responsibility for the fines imposed on its technical staff and players.

The FSF concluded its statement by reaffirming its commitment to defending its legitimate rights and interests within the African football system, while stressing adherence to regulatory laws and working to enhance the integrity of competitions and develop football on the African continent.
