Maniema Player Prince Alde on Wydad Clash: "They Beat Us at Their Stadium, Now We Want to Win at Home"
Prince Alde Sousou, a player for Congolese club Maniema Union, expressed his team's determination to secure a victory against Wydad AC in their upcoming match, part of the fourth round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Alde stated: "For us, this is a match like any other. They defeated us on their home ground, and now we want to beat them at our stadium. That's how football is."
He added: "At this stage of the competition, the match is played on your home turf. Now that we are at our stadium, we will do everything in our power to try and win the game. After that, the final decision is not up to us."
The Maniema player continued: "I believe that tomorrow you will see a different side of Maniema. The competition is on now."
Maniema Union will host Wydad AC tomorrow, Sunday, at 14:00 (GMT+1). The Congolese side suffered a 1-0 defeat in the reverse fixture against Wydad, which took place last weekend at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.
