
Wydad to Travel to Congo Tomorrow for CAF Confederation Cup Clash Against Maniema Union
Wydad Athletic Club has finalized its travel arrangements to the Democratic Republic of Congo in preparation for their CAF Confederation Cup group stage match against Maniema Union. This encounter is part of Group B's fourth round.
The Moroccan club's delegation is scheduled to depart the country tomorrow, Thursday. The players will then hold two training sessions in Congo – one on Friday and another on Saturday – at the stadium designated to host the match.
Wydad enters this match with high spirits, following their 1-0 victory over Maniema in the first leg. Mohammed Mofid scored the decisive goal in the 80th minute during the match played at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca for the third round.
The Moroccan representatives currently lead Group B with 9 points, ahead of Maniema Union, who have 6 points. Tanzania's Azam FC sits in third with 3 points, while Nairobi United is at the bottom of the standings with no points.
Wydad will be the guests of Maniema Union next Sunday, with the match scheduled to kick off at 1:00 PM local time at Mazembe Stadium.
