Benhashim: Moses' Arrival Paved Way for Lorch's Departure, He'll Play Two More Games
Wydad Athletic Club coach, Amine Benhashim, discussed the club's decision to allow South African Thembinokosi Lorch to leave the team and join Al-Ittihad Tripoli, confirming that the decision was made based on the mutual interests of both the team and the player.
Speaking at the press conference ahead of the match against DR Congo's Maniema, Benhashim stated: "When it comes to the interests of both the club and the player, everyone seeks the benefit or the goal we aim to achieve. When I see that a player has a desire to change teams, and when it becomes difficult to utilize him effectively, we go along with his wish."
The Wydad coach added that the club was committed to first ensuring a replacement for Lorch before making the decision. He explained: "If we didn't have someone to replace Lorch, we would have made a different decision, even if it might have harmed the team, but we would have been forced to do so."
Benhashim concluded his statements by saying: "Moses' arrival also contributed to allowing us to fulfill Lorch's desire and approve his departure. However, Lorch will still play two matches with us – tomorrow's game and the return leg in Congo against Maniema – after which he will join his new team. We wish him all the best."
