Spanish Football Federation President: "The 2030 World Cup Final Will Be Played Here in Spain"
Rafael Lozano, President of the Spanish Football Federation, affirmed his vision on several current football issues, most notably the 2030 World Cup, during his attendance at a Sports Press Association event in Madrid.
Lozano stated that Spain would lead the organization of the 2030 World Cup, indicating that the final, which will be the Centenary Cup, would be held on Spanish soil. He said: "Spain will be the leader in organizing the 2030 World Cup, and the final, which will be the Centenary Cup, will be held here."
Spain is co-hosting the 2030 World Cup alongside the Kingdom of Morocco and Portugal. To date, FIFA has not yet determined which stadiums will host the World Cup matches. Morocco is strongly competing to host the final with the world's largest stadium, currently under construction in Benslimane, which will have a capacity of over 100,000 spectators.
