Josef Zinbauer, coach of Algerian side JS Kabylie, acknowledged internal issues within his team ahead of their CAF Champions League group stage third-round clash against FAR Rabat, stressing the importance of securing a victory.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Zinbauer stated, “I am very proud of my players because they are giving their utmost. Some players are suffering from illness, others from injuries, and I cannot confirm everything.”

He further elaborated, “I understand that some players might genuinely be injured, and if the injury is real, I completely understand that. There are also very ill players, but at the same time, there are other situations I cannot discuss precisely, and I do not want to lie.”

The JS Kabylie coach continued, “I believe we have problems, and perhaps we did have problems. There are individuals or departments within the club that will work to resolve them. Now, whether with problems or without, we must continue to work, because life always has its ups and downs.”

Zinbauer underscored the significance of participating in the CAF Champions League, saying, “When you get the opportunity to play in the CAF Champions League, you must give everything you have, as a coach, as a player, as a technical staff, and even as a club.”

Turning his attention to the opposition, Zinbauer affirmed his thorough knowledge of FAR Rabat, stating, “We know FAR Rabat well; they are one of the biggest clubs in Morocco. They possess great potential, a fantastic stadium, excellent fans, and are a well-organized club with a good coach.”

He added, “FAR Rabat has players with experience in the CAF Champions League, and this is the fundamental difference between us and them, as we do not have a large number of players with continental experience on the field.”

Despite this, the JS Kabylie coach expressed his hope for his team’s fans’ support: “We also have a fantastic stadium, and I hope our fans support us positively. If our fans are the 12th player on the field, that will be an additional strength for us.”
