Al Ahly Coach: "We Should Have Scored 6 or 7 Goals Against JS Kabylie; Six Days to Prepare for AS FAR"
Al Ahly's Danish coach, Jess Thorup, believes his team could have secured a more significant victory than their 4-1 win against Algeria's JS Kabylie on Saturday, in the first round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Thorup stated, "We deserved to win. For 15 minutes in the second half, we allowed the opponent to pressure us and conceded a goal."
He added, "We deserved to score more goals in the match; it would have been natural for us to win by six or seven goals, but that didn't happen."
Regarding the upcoming fixture against AS FAR, Thorup commented, "I watch matches to identify strengths and weaknesses, and we have six days to prepare before facing AS FAR."
AS FAR is scheduled to host Al Ahly next Friday at 20:00 GMT+1, at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium in the capital, Rabat.
