
El Mohamedi Among Key Absentees for RS Berkane Against Pyramids in CAF Champions League
RS Berkane club has issued an official statement regarding the health status of its players ahead of their match against Pyramids, in the third round of the CAF Champions League group stage, confirming the absence of several players from the upcoming game.
The club clarified that player Yassine El Bahri is continuing his rehabilitation and physical program according to the specified treatment protocol. He is undergoing special training sessions with the fitness coach to gradually regain his physical and competitive readiness. El Bahri is expected to return to official matches for his team in the coming weeks but will not be available for the Pyramids encounter.
Moroccan international goalkeeper Mounir El Mohamedi suffered a dislocation in his right shoulder during a training session with the national team, 48 hours before the final match. Based on medical reports, El Mohamedi will undergo surgery in Spain under the supervision of a specialist doctor to stabilize the shoulder. This injury will sideline him from competitions for up to three months, meaning he will miss the upcoming match.
Tayeb Boukhres will also miss the Pyramids match due to a muscle injury sustained during the last preparatory game, and Mohamed El Morabit is out with a knee injury. Both players are expected to return to group training by the end of next week.
RS Berkane will host Pyramids tomorrow, Saturday, at the Berkane Municipal Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 8:00 PM (GMT+1).
