Sunderland Coach: Diarra Discussed AFCON Final in Dressing Room, Talbi Less Enthusiastic
Sunderland's English coach, Régis Le Bris, discussed the return of his players Habib Diarra and Shamseddine Talbi after their participation with the Senegalese and Moroccan national teams in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Le Bris told the media: "Habib Diarra spoke about this final match in the dressing room and was very happy. As for Shamseddine (Talbi), he wasn't as enthusiastic, but they are still friends."
He added: "It was a good experience for Habib, even though he couldn't participate in the final because he was suspended. He reminded us how happy he was with the support he received from the club before and during this period, and now, he can provide us with positive energy."
It is worth noting that the Senegalese national team won the Africa Cup of Nations title for the second time in its history, after defeating its Moroccan counterpart by one goal to nil.
