Senegal Coach Forced to Make Starting Lineup Change Against Morocco in AFCON Final
Pape Thiaw, head coach of the Senegal national team, has revealed the starting lineup for the Africa Cup of Nations final against Morocco, which will be played this Sunday evening at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, the capital.
The coach decided to rely on Mamadou Sarr in defense to compensate for the absence of captain Kalidou Koulibaly, who is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
Thiaw also announced another change to the starting XI, bringing in Antoine Mendy in place of Krepin Diatta, without disclosing the reasons for this alteration.
Senegal's starting lineup: Edouard Mendy - Moussa Niakhate - Mamadou Sarr - El Hadji Malick Diouf - Antoine Mendy - Idrissa Gana Gueye - Pape Gueye - Lamine Camara - Iliman Ndiaye - Sadio Mane - Nicolas Jackson.
