Real Madrid Appeals to Fans Not to Boo
Real Madrid has appealed to its supporters not to boo the team during their upcoming La Liga match against Levante. The game is scheduled for Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. This plea follows Real Madrid's elimination from the Copa del Rey on Wednesday by second-division side Albacete, and amidst plans by some fan groups to protest by waving white handkerchiefs and jeering the players.
In this context, new coach Álvaro Arbeloa, appointed on Monday, stated: “I deeply respect the opinion of the Bernabéu. I understand that Real Madrid fans feel pain and disappointment with our performance, but I will ask them to support their players.”
Arbeloa added: “In 123 years of history, Real Madrid’s greatest successes and titles were achieved when the Bernabéu faithful stood behind their players. This is what I ask of my fans: to stay by our side, support us, and help us make this season the best possible, despite their disappointment.”
According to reports, the club has also asked leaders of fan groups to contain their anger and to applaud Jude Bellingham and his teammates.
