CAF Suspends Marwan Attia and Salah Mohsen for Two Matches After Egypt-Senegal Incidents
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued sanctions against Egyptian national team players following incidents that occurred after the match between Egypt and Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals.
According to the "FilGoal" website, CAF decided to suspend Egyptian national team players Marwan Attia and Salah Mohsen for two official matches due to their actions after the game.
Consequently, the duo will be unavailable to join the Pharaohs squad for their third-place playoff match against Nigeria, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday.
The sanctions were imposed following actions by the players deemed unacceptable, as Marwan Attia accused the match officials of receiving bribes, while Salah Mohsen mocked Senegalese journalists.
