Exclusive: Egyptian FA to Question Hossam Hassan and Twin Ibrahim Over Morocco Remarks; Mutual Separation Possible
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) is preparing to question "Pharaohs" national team coach Hossam Hassan and his twin assistant Ibrahim Hassan, following recent statements in which they alluded to Morocco.
El Botola has learned from prominent figures in Egyptian football that the EFA is preparing to hold a meeting with Hossam Hassan and his brother Ibrahim to discuss the content of their recent statements, which have been described as controversial.
The same source added that the EFA is moving towards questioning Hossam Hassan and his twin Ibrahim, and the situation could potentially lead to a mutual separation between the two parties.
The source confirmed that the EFA's statement came as a reaction to correct what had been raised recently, following coach Hossam Hassan's remarks alluding to Morocco.
In the same context, Hany Abo Rida, President of the Egyptian Football Association, had sent a thank you message to Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. In his message, Abo Rida expressed his great appreciation for Morocco's outstanding organization and remarkable success of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, a move considered an official correction to what was previously stirred up following Hossam Hassan's statements.
