Benmahmoud: "We Still Have Much to Offer, We Have a Group of Real Men"
Rashid Benmahmoud, assistant coach of the Moroccan national team, affirmed that the technical staff experienced the same emotions as the Moroccan fans during the difficult moments of the match, emphasizing the great trust everyone places in the national team players.
Following their qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations final, Benmahmoud stated: “We experienced exactly what you experienced, and we shared the same feelings with you during those difficult moments. However, we have complete trust in these players, in these men who gave their all to achieve this accomplishment.”
He added: “You all witnessed what happened on the field, and how some players left the pitch barely able to walk, from Brahim Diaz to Abde Ezzalzouli, and El Khannouss. Everyone sacrificed and put in a tremendous effort, and we believe we have a group of real men.”
The assistant national coach concluded his remarks by thanking all components of the national team, saying: “We extend our thanks to the players for their performance, but the greatest thanks go to the true heroes, the Moroccan fans, for the wonderful way they supported the team from the beginning of the match to the end. We thank you all, and yet we confirm that the journey is not over, and we still have much more to offer.”
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team will face their Senegalese counterparts in the Africa Cup of Nations final next Sunday, starting at 8:00 PM (GMT+1).
