Liam Rosenior Takes Chelsea Helm, Vows to Win Trophies
Coach Liam Rosenior, who has taken over from Enzo Maresca, is preparing to lead the Chelsea team for the first time on Saturday evening in an FA Cup clash against Charlton.
During his inaugural press conference as Chelsea manager, Rosenior reflected on his previous tenure with French club Strasbourg. He stated: "I'll be honest: when I arrived at Strasbourg, I was ridiculed by the media. They said my team would finish last, that it was an impossible project, that the players were too young, inexperienced, and that I was nothing, just an unknown Englishman."
Rosenior added that his Strasbourg side concluded that season "three points from the Champions League," emphasizing his philosophy. He asserted: "External noise is just noise. If you focus on the work, on your players, your staff and your process, I believe you can achieve great things."
Expressing his significant ambitions for Chelsea, Rosenior declared: "I am here to win. This project is a project of victory. It is about nothing else but the pursuit of titles."
The new manager will also face Arsenal on Wednesday in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final.
