
After 22-Year Wait, Morocco Qualifies for Africa Cup of Nations Semi-Finals for First Time Since 2004
The Moroccan national team secured their spot in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations "Morocco 2025" this Friday evening, after defeating the Cameroonian national team 2-0 in the quarter-finals.
The "Atlas Lions" qualified for the semi-finals for the first time since 2004, ending a 22-year wait to return to the final four. Their last appearance was in the 2004 edition in Tunisia, where coach Badou Zaki's team reached the final.
The Moroccan national team has now reached the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals a total of five times.
