
Atlas Lions Tame Indomitable Lions
The Moroccan national team has qualified for the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations after defeating their Cameroonian counterparts 2-0. The quarter-final match took place on Friday evening at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The first half of the encounter witnessed a tactical struggle between the two teams. Star player Brahim Díaz successfully broke the deadlock, giving the Atlas Lions the lead in the 26th minute.
After the break, the Cameroonian squad attempted to reach the Moroccan goal to equalize, but the Atlas Lions' defense successfully repelled all efforts. Ismael Saibari then secured the victory with a second goal in the 74th minute.
Morocco will now face the winner of the match between Algeria and Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals. That game is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, at 17:00 GMT+1.
