Spain Announces Futsal Squad for European Championship
The Royal Spanish Football Federation is set to announce today the 16-man squad selected by coach Jesús Velasco for the upcoming European Championship. Although 16 players will be named, Velasco will exclude two players 24 hours before Spain's opening match, leaving a final squad of 14 for the tournament.
The Spanish national team will gather in Las Rozas on Monday and travel to Slovenia on Tuesday, January 20. Spain is scheduled to play its first match on January 23 against Slovenia at 20:30 in Ljubljana.
Meanwhile, coach Jorge Braz announced Portugal's squad yesterday, which notably saw the absence of João Matos and Zicky Té due to knee injuries. Pany Varela is expected to be their most prominent player.
