Bellingham Discusses Atletico Madrid Clash and Mbappe's Potential Role at Real Madrid
Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham spoke to the press ahead of his team's Spanish Super Cup semi-final clash against Atletico Madrid, set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, tomorrow, Thursday (20:00 GMT+1). Bellingham affirmed that his team has learned from their previous 5-2 defeat to Atletico.
Bellingham addressed his evolving role within the squad, noting that with Kylian Mbappe's arrival, there would be "less need for me to attack the box," allowing him to play a deeper, more influential role. He added, "For me, goals have never been the most important thing as a midfielder."
Regarding Vinicius Junior's form, Bellingham stated, "Vinicius as a player and person is under immense pressure, and the things he does on the pitch stem from pure emotion. Sometimes I think people forget that the one doing these things is human."
Bellingham described Vinicius as an "electric player," asserting that "goals don't tell the whole story." He expressed confidence in Vinicius's return to his best form, despite not having scored in 14 matches.
