Gamondi (Tanzania Coach): "Morocco Has Excellent Players and Should Have Scored in Front of Their Fans"
Tanzania national team coach Miguel Ángel Gamondi expressed satisfaction with his players' performance despite their 1-0 loss to Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 Round of 16.
Gamondi stated in press remarks: "We delivered an excellent match. We did not lower the tempo; rather, it was Morocco who pressed hard and increased the pace. They have excellent players, and in front of their fans, they should have scored."
He added: "The Tanzanian national team players play in Tanzania. They did what they could."
It is worth noting that the match between the two sides ended with Morocco's 1-0 victory, with Real Madrid forward Brahim Díaz scoring in the 64th minute, thus qualifying the "Atlas Lions" for the quarter-finals.
