Hamdallah: "God Brought Me This Cup at 35 to Compensate for Barren Years with Morocco National Team"
Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah affirmed, following the Moroccan reserve national team's triumph in the Arab Cup, that winning the title served as compensation for the lean years he experienced with the national team, noting that his success stemmed from his trust in God first, and then in himself.
Hamdallah stated: "Any player in my position, who gets sent off in a match and suspended for two games, I don't think they would possess this level of confidence. However, I know myself very well. From day one, I have trusted myself, and praise be to God that what I said came true. This is a gift from the Lord of all worlds."
The Moroccan forward added: "The Lord of all worlds placed me on this list for a reason, and that reason has now been fulfilled. I don't believe that God, after the barren years I experienced with the national team where I didn't get my due, would bring me here at the age of thirty-five just to gift me this cup."
