Bouftini: "I Love Protecting Our Goal; Conceding Makes Me Angry for Hours"

Sofiane Bouftini, a player for the Moroccan A' national team, expressed his pride in the defensive solidity the team displayed during the Arab Cup, in statements made to FIFA's official website.

The Al Wasl (UAE) player stated: "I am a defender, so it's clear that I am very proud of the defensive solidity we demonstrated. I love protecting my goal."

He continued: "Even after scoring the third goal, I told all the players that we could not concede. I hate conceding goals, and when it happens, I remain angry for hours after the match, because this is my job: to keep a clean sheet."

Bouftini, known for his distinguished performances, summarized the team's defensive philosophy, adding: "It's not just about the defensive line; everything starts with our organization and cohesion, from the first defensive line, then the second and third."

He concluded: "We constantly work on this with the coach, and if we continue to play this way, in terms of organization, enthusiasm, and courage, we are convinced that we will not concede any."
