Regragui: "We Will Grow in the Africa Cup of Nations, and I Know Moroccan Fans Will Support Us from the First Whistle"
Morocco national team coach Walid Regragui is looking forward to the support of the fans in the Africa Cup of Nations, which the Kingdom will host from December 21st to January 18th.
In a television interview following the announcement of his final squad for the "Morocco 2025" Africa Cup of Nations, Regragui stated: "There are no easy matches in Africa, and every encounter we play will be important. The opening match against Comoros will also be crucial."
He continued: "Our goal is to reach the round of 16, after which another competition begins, which is playing knockout matches. Now we have the experience, and what matters to me is to enter this tournament and grow within it."
He added: "The Moroccan fans are the best in the world, and I know they will support us as soon as the referee's whistle blows. We will do our best, and the players are aware of their responsibility. 'It's not Regragui or the players who will win it (AFCON); all Moroccans will win it, and we hope to be in the final on January 18th.'"
