Real Betis president Ángel Haro has issued strong statements defending Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat, asserting that the player possesses high professionalism and that any circulating doubts about his commitment are unfounded.

Haro stated in comments reported by Spanish newspaper Marca that Amrabat demonstrated a clear example of fighting spirit and a desire to help the team, despite suffering a severe injury before the "Andalusian Derby" match.

Haro said: "I must say that Sofyan is a fantastic professional. He tried to play in the derby even though he had a large swelling. He received treatment and tried to be ready, but he couldn't. Any doubt about his professionalism is out of the question. Now he has joined his national team, which is also important for him, and if he had been able to play our matches, he would have done so without hesitation."

The club president added that Amrabat's importance within the team is clear and undeniable, noting that his absence was solely due to injury, not due to any shortcomings or disagreements.

When Haro was asked if Amrabat was disappointing the club, he responded unequivocally: "No, not at all. I've already said it. It's quite the opposite. I think he's a great player, he gives us a lot in midfield, and he never disappoints."
