Real Betis Expresses Concern Over Ez Abde's Potential Absence Against Rayo Vallecano on December 15 Due to AFCON Participation
Moroccan international Ez Abde has once again demonstrated his significant contribution to Real Betis' attacking efforts. The club is currently negotiating to ensure he does not depart for the Africa Cup of Nations before playing the La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano.
Spanish newspaper AS reported that Ez Abde has emerged as one of Betis' best players and is a crucial component in Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini's squad. Pellegrini and the club are working on negotiations to allow Abde to join the Moroccan national team camp after only one day, alongside his compatriot Sofyan Amrabat.
The same source indicated that the Moroccan national team is a strong contender to win the African title, which the Kingdom is hosting. The final is scheduled for January 18, which means Ez Abde could miss a significant portion of La Liga matches against Getafe, Real Madrid, Oviedo, and Villarreal. He would also be absent from the Copa del Rey Round of 16 matches, scheduled for January 13, 14, and 15, 2026.
Ez Abde has solidified his position as a key player after a fluctuating start with Real Betis. He has since regained his form with successive matches, becoming one of the team's main attacking pillars.
