Spanish giants Barcelona secured a 2-1 victory over German side Eintracht Frankfurt in their UEFA Champions League league phase match on Tuesday, part of Matchday 6.
Barça found themselves trailing in the 21st minute when Ansgar Knauff scored for Eintracht Frankfurt. This match marked the first Champions League fixture held at the newly reopened Camp Nou stadium.
After the half-time interval, Barcelona successfully overturned their deficit to claim the win, thanks to a brace from Jules Kounde, who found the back of the net in the 50th and 53rd minutes.
The victory saw Barcelona climb to 13th place in the standings with 10 points, placing them five positions away from the top eight spots that grant direct qualification to the Champions League Round of 16. Eintracht Frankfurt, meanwhile, remained in 30th place with 4 points.
