Palestine's Assi: 'No Difference Between Morocco or Saudi Arabia, We'll Reach Arab Cup Semifinals'
Palestine national team player Mahdi Assi affirmed that facing either Morocco or Saudi Arabia in the Arab Cup quarterfinals makes no difference to him, stating that his goal is to reach the semi-finals.
Speaking to Qatar's Al Kass channel, Assi said: "First, I thank Qatar for this great hospitality. Second, we dedicate this qualification to the Palestinian people and our families in Gaza. Palestine does not fall and will not fall, and long live Arab Palestine."
Regarding Palestine's upcoming opponent in the quarterfinals, he added: "There is Morocco and Saudi Arabia, and we are a strong team that has strongly asserted ourselves in the tournament. It makes no difference whether we face Morocco or Saudi Arabia; we will qualify for the semi-finals."
The Palestinian national team had qualified for the Arab Cup quarterfinals, topping Group A with five points, level with their Syrian counterparts.
