Flick (Barcelona): "We Still Make Some Mistakes and Are Not Like Last Season"

Hansi Flick, Barcelona's coach, engaged in self-criticism despite his team's 2-1 victory over visitors Deportivo Alavés, which temporarily propelled them to the top of the Spanish league. He emphasized the necessity of correcting certain errors.

Following the match at Camp Nou on Saturday, Flick spoke about the return of Raphinha and Pedri. He stated, "I am very happy with their return. Raphinha was only able to play 60 minutes, while Pedri played about 30 minutes."

Regarding what needs correction, Hansi replied, "I am satisfied with our performance today and how we managed the game, although we are still making some mistakes. We need to improve many things. Among them is that we created chances but didn't convert them, and that is precisely what we need to work on developing."

As for the differences compared to last season, the German coach commented, "We no longer have the same control, nor the same intensity we had last season. I don't know if we have the same number of points in Matchday 14 or not. We can improve in many aspects. This season we are suffering from more injuries. Last year, everyone was ready from the start, and that helped us develop gradually."
