Morocco Women's Futsal Coach El Sayeh: "Determination Secured Philippines Win, Now for Second Final Against Poland"
Adel El Sayeh, coach of the Moroccan Women's National Futsal Team, expressed his delight after securing a 3-2 victory over the Philippines national team. The match took place on Monday as part of the second round of the World Cup group stage.
Following the match, El Sayeh stated: "Praise be to God for this victory. I want to thank the players for the fighting spirit they displayed. We played a difficult match against the Philippine team, who are the tournament hosts and were playing in front of their fans, especially since both teams needed to win to keep their qualification hopes alive."
He added: "Although the pressure on the players was immense and they only truly broke free from it after we conceded two goals, we had aimed to score first. However, the nature of the game made any mistake costly. We were close to an early exit from the tournament, which is neither our ambition nor the goal of our participation."
El Sayeh continued: "We faced strong teams with experienced players, but with our determination and persistence, our goal was always clear: to secure qualification."
The women's national team coach concluded his statement: "Now, our full focus is on facing Poland, which will be like a second final for us. We successfully completed the first final, and we will prepare optimally for the upcoming match, God willing."
