Young Africans Coach: 'AS FAR Are Strong, But We Believe We Can Win With Our Fans'

Pedro Gonçalves, coach of Young Africans, praised AS FAR's strength ahead of their match tomorrow, Saturday (14:00 GMT+1), in the first round of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Gonçalves said at the pre-match press conference: "This will be our first match in the group stage. I think everyone sees it as a 'group of death,' with four of the strongest clubs in Africa, three of which have previously won the title."

He continued: "AS FAR are a strong team, and they have developed significantly over the last two seasons. I know the coach well, and he has worked for a full year on developing the club."

He added: "They have a balanced team across all lines, but we also want to continue our development and capitalize on our best moments. We believe that with our fans present here in Zanzibar, we will be able to achieve victory."
