
AS FAR Women Crowned African Champions League Winners for Second Time After 2-1 Victory Over ASEC Mimosas
AS FAR Women's team has been crowned champions of the CAF Women's Champions League for the second time in their history, following a 2-1 victory over Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas. The final match was played today, Friday, as part of the tournament hosted by Egypt.
From the start of the first half, AS FAR players exerted significant pressure on the Ivorian team's defense in search of an early goal. Their efforts paid off in the 13th minute when Hanane Aït El Haj successfully converted a penalty kick to give her side the lead.
In the second half, ASEC Mimosas managed to equalize in the 55th minute. However, AS FAR regained their lead with a second goal, also from a penalty, successfully converted by Zineb Redouani in the 85th minute.
With this victory, AS FAR women secure their second CAF Women's Champions League title, adding to their first triumph in 2022.
