CAF Awards: Hakimi to Compete with Salah and Osimhen for African Player of the Year

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced this Sunday evening the final nominees for the 2025 African Player of the Year award.

The Moroccan international's nomination is attributed to his outstanding performance last season, where he was a key contributor to the Parisian club's success, leading them to win several titles, most notably the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history.

It is worth noting that the last two editions of the CAF Awards ceremony saw Nigerian winners, with Victor Osimhen claiming the 2023 award and Ademola Lookman being crowned in the most recent 2024 edition.

The CAF Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, on Wednesday, November 19, at 7:00 PM (19:00 GMT+1).
