El Saibari Dedicates Mozambique Win to Hakimi, Affirms "We Are Ready for AFCON"
Moroccan national team player Ismail Saibari praised the "Atlas Lions'" performance following their 1-0 friendly victory over Mozambique last Friday evening. He dedicated the win to his injured teammate, Achraf Hakimi. Saibari stated in a press interview: "We played well and created many chances, but we only managed to score one goal."
The PSV Eindhoven player added that the stadium atmosphere was fantastic, commending the crowd's support. "The atmosphere at the Grand Stade de Tanger was very good, and the fans supported us greatly, and the pitch is in good condition," he remarked.
Saibari also highlighted the team's strength and the players' understanding both on and off the pitch. "We have a good group, and we possess quality. Even off the pitch, we understand each other well, and we are ready for the Africa Cup of Nations," he affirmed.
Regarding the injury to national team captain Achraf Hakimi, Saibari commented: "It is unfortunate because he is the captain of the national team, but now Romain Saïss has returned. Whatever the circumstances, we must win our matches, and even if he is not present, we will continue to achieve victories for his sake as well."
