“Ultra Askari” Criticizes FAR Rabat Signings: “Some Players Don't Deserve to Represent the Team or Even Be on the Bench!”
“Ultra Askari,” the fan group supporting FAR Rabat, launched “scathing” criticism at the club's management, asserting that some players do not deserve to wear the “Leader's” jersey. The group also highlighted organizational issues faced by military fans when entering stadiums for matches.
In an official statement, the fan group explained: “Since the start of the season, we deemed it wise not to delve into technical details or performance evaluations, believing it was necessary to give the team enough time to work in peace. However, the passage of more than ten matches has been sufficient to reveal many truths and expose the flaws afflicting the military squad. We reiterate that the management bears primary responsibility for signings that have added no significant value.”
“It has become clear that there are players who do not deserve to represent the 'Leader's' colors, and others who are not even fit to sit on the bench, despite greater expectations given the financial returns,” Ultra Askari added in their statement. “How can it be logical to release influential and experienced players without replacing them with better ones, or to loan out some players without bringing in others to justify these decisions and explain the loans, especially if we consider the number of foreign players in the team? Here, we question the role of the sporting director.”
The statement continued: “On the analytical level, the biggest surprise was the dismissal of the video analyst, who was key to winning titles, and replacing him with an individual who lacks the same competence or added value. This is further confirmation that the problem is not limited to players or the technical staff, but extends to a lack of clear vision in overall sports management. The team does not need hasty decisions or stopgap solutions, but rather a strategy built on accurate assessment of competencies and linking responsibility with accountability, to ensure continued success.”
On a positive note, the fan group commended the physical conditioning staff's performance this season, observing a clear improvement in the physical readiness of many players and their ability to maintain a high tempo throughout matches. They noted that this achievement “necessitates the presence of a competent medical staff to avoid repeating last season's mistakes.”
They added: “We issue a warning to those players who pick and choose matches and whose negligence we observe, while wearing the FAR Rabat jersey. We also call upon the coach and management to work on correcting errors and rectifying shortcomings to avoid jeopardizing another sporting season.”
Ultra Askari also addressed organizational issues related to stadium access in their statement, saying: “The team's fans continue to suffer from constant restrictions and incomprehensible procedures imposed on them at every match, as if the goal is to restrict rather than organize. Despite this, the 'Leader's' supporters consistently demonstrate their commitment and civility, proving themselves to be a sophisticated and responsible fanbase, unparalleled in discipline and respect. We affirm that we have always demanded and will continue to defend the freedom of movement for fans as a legitimate right.”
