Brazilian Ronaldo: 'Cristiano Ronaldo Is Overly Confident'
Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazário has made a surprising statement regarding the standing of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, asserting that the latter is not the greatest player in history, despite acknowledging his significant legacy and ranking him among the top 10 players of all time.
Speaking in an interview with ESPN, Ronaldo said: "Cristiano has scored goals in every possible way, even after changing his playing positions. This is not easy; he is certainly among the best players ever, but the best? I don't agree. I respect his opinion, but I would only place him among the top ten players."
Nazário displayed significant humility regarding his own place in football history: "Honestly, I don't like to participate in those discussions. Some people have a very high opinion of themselves. I prefer to let others talk about my performance and what I've done, rather than talking about myself."
The Brazilian's comments follow Cristiano Ronaldo's recent interview with journalist Piers Morgan, where the Portuguese star discussed his legacy and future ambitions, reiterating his belief that he is the greatest player in football history.
