Ronaldo Finds McDonald's Worker Who Gave Him Free Burgers 20 Years Ago, Plans Special Gift
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr player, announced that he has located the McDonald's worker who used to give him free burgers when he was 13 years old and playing at the Sporting Lisbon academy. He stated his intention to repay her kindness.
During an extensive interview with journalist Piers Morgan, Ronaldo spoke about finding one of the women who used to feed him. He recounted, "I arrived from Riyadh to Lisbon, and we were in a special area. One of my friends told me, 'Cristiano, look over here,' and when I saw her, I recognized her immediately, despite 20 years having passed."
He continued, "I was with my children and Georgina, and I hugged that woman. Even my children asked me, 'Dad, what are you doing?' I told them the story, and I felt that life is full of surprises you never expect."
"I spoke with my friends, and we all said we now know 100% who this woman is. She never expected that I would recognize her. When she saw me, she might have said 'Cristiano.' She wouldn't even have spoken to me," Ronaldo added.
Morgan asked Ronaldo if the woman recognized him, to which Ronaldo replied, "Yes, and she told me one thing: 'Cristiano, you'll never imagine, every time you come to Portugal, I know about it because I plan to come here to greet you and see you, but they always separate us. This time, because someone didn't show up, I took their place. That's why I came.'"
He concluded, "I was very happy and told my friends to keep her number, and we will do something. When I find the time, I will do something beautiful and special for those who helped me during that period."
