Hilali on Morocco Squad Snub: "Unlucky, But That's Part of Football"

Moroccan international Omar Hilali, an Espanyol player, has commented on his exclusion from the national team squad ahead of the friendly matches against Mozambique and Uganda.

Speaking in a statement reported by Spanish newspaper "Sport," Hilali said: "For me, this is part of football. Currently, I haven't been lucky enough to be with the national team."

The player added, "Therefore, I will continue to focus on my daily work with Espanyol and with the club, and I will do my utmost to achieve victory in the upcoming match."

Hilali's absence from the Moroccan national team squad, called up for the friendly matches against Mozambique and Uganda, was due to a decision by national coach Walid Regragui for technical reasons.
